NC youth leader Ram Hari Khatiwada was born on January 8, 1970 in Thakle-2 of Okhaldhunga. He is the son of Jib Nath and Yashoda Khatiwada. He holds Master’s Degree in Political Sciences and Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
Entered Kathmandu after completing SLC, Khatiwada joined politics in 1985. He adorned NC leader Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, who inspired him to join politics , as a role model. He reached NC central office, following Bhattarai, who gave him monthly Rs. 200 to continue his education along with party’s activities. Chosen as a member of Okhaldhunga Working Committee in 1988, he is serving as a Mahasamiti member from past 12 years.
He was arrested from Kathmandu twice and jailed for 6 months during ex-king Gyanendra’s reign as he protested against his move.

People walk for 3-4 hours to vote. The leaders, however, use helicopter to cover a distance of even just an hour's walking distance. Why does the EC not see this?

Those who capture booths are cowards, no matter whichever party carries it out. This is a disregard to the people's ballot. The election should be cancelled if the booth is captured.
