Born on May 1, 1960 in Phakaphok of Illam, ex-state minister, Keshav Bahadur Thapa served as an Illam chairperson of NC. He was appointed as a State Minister for Housing and Development by Sher Bahadur Deuba led jumbo government.

A graduate in Law, Thapa contested from Illam-2 in 2008 CA election, but lost to CPN-UML’s Subhas Chandra Nemwang who received 17,448 votes. Thapa finished with 14,044 votes.

He has two children.
