Why CA candidates need no any academic qualification?

The voter education booklet issued by Election Commission mentions at length the conditions for a person to be eligible CA candidate. However, there is no any mention about the academic qualification for them. It is worthy of mentioning on this context that some of the candidates running in the election are such illiterate that they even cannot write the word 'constitution'.

Given the situation and ability of such candidates in question, how can we rest assured that the leaders would ensure out democratic rights? I wonder why the leaders, who are never tired of talking about international standards and procedures for everything, keeping mum regarding the minimum academic qualification of the candidates which is in practice worldwide.
